Recently we shared our Top 5 Disney Shows (Past & Present) on the podcast. If you didn’t hear or see the episode, you can listen HERE or watch it HERE. On the show I named my top 5 shows but today I wanted to share with you more details about my favorites. As always, narrowing down Disney favorites of any category to the top 5 or 10 is always a challenge. Usually, there are runners up and today’s topic is no exception. So, without further ado, here is my Top 5 list of Disney shows:
#5 Carousel of Progress

Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress is a show with Audio-Animatronic actors. It shows how life has changed for us since 1900. It is held in a rotating theater and after each scene (which is a certain decade), the theater rotates to the right to show the scene from the next decade. A fan-favorite song, “There’s A Great Big, Beautiful Tomorrow” plays at the end of each scene and guests are free to sing along (which we always do)!
#4 One Man’s Dream

One Man’s Dream is best described as a museum displaying much of the life of Walter Elias Disney (Walt Disney). There are so many interesting inclusions in this attraction but the show I am referring to in this post is the show about Walt Disney’s life and humble beginnings which is shown in a theater at the back of the attraction. I watch it every time I visit and I still leave the theater in tears. What a gift this man was to all of us who hold tightly to the legacy he left behind.
#3 Illuminations Reflections of Earth

Illuminations: Reflections of Earth is a past fireworks and laser show that was held for many years at EPCOT. Each night, the show played and guests were mesmerized by the beauty, the music and the message. It told the story of Earth’s history. I really miss it!
#2 First Time in Forever! Frozen Sing A Long

I am one of the biggest fans of For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing Along Celebration. I was so surprised by the level of entertainment in this show the very first time I saw it and it made a lasting impression. I see this show every time I visit Hollywood Studios. The “Royal Historians of Arendelle” tell the story of Frozen (but they are a little incorrect in much of the history) and they are hilarious. There is banter and some inuendo, which is really for the adults and over the kids’ heads. It is a great show full of wonderful surprises at the end and it is a must-see in my opinion! Bonus: they even change it up a bit during the holiday season which adds to the fun.
#1 The Candlelight Processional

The Candlelight Processional is the telling of the Christmas story by a celebrity narrator with music sung by a mass choir and performed by a 50-piece live orchestra. It’s one component of the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays. Held inside the America Gardens Theater this event is one of the most beloved and popular holiday events and guests wait hours in line just for a chance to enter the theater. The theater can seat over 1,000 guests per performance, but 50% and 75% of these seats are reserved for guests who purchase dinner packages and we always purchase a dinner package in order to guaranty our seat. Nothing gets me into the holiday spirit like this magnificent and beautiful show.
Well, that’s it. I hope you enjoyed reading about my Top 5 Shows at Walt Disney World. What are your favorite shows? I would love it if you left me a comment and shared yours with me as well.
