I’ve settled into my new 2021 routines this month. Actually, many of the important elements of my morning and evening routines aren’t new, but I did add to them for 2021. These keep me organized and keep my forward momentum day after day. Today I’m sharing a glimpse into my daily routines.
Morning Routine
My morning routine consists of all the things I take care of during the first couple hours of being awake each day. Included in my Morning Routine are:
- Make Butch’s breakfast and pack his lunch
- Enjoy coffee while I read my devotionals
- Jesus Calling
- Write the Word Journaling
- Morning Pages
- The Daily Stoic
- Make my bed
- Shower and dress
- Prep for dinner as needed
- Scan my planner for the day’s activities
- Start a load of laundry
- Commence with kids or work
Evening Routine
My evening routine allows me to get a good night’s rest knowing that I was able to accomplish what I needed to accomplish during the day. It also provides me with a good plan for the next day. My evening routine consists of:
- Prep for Butch’s breakfast and lunch as needed
- Clean the kitchen
- 10 minute pick-up around the house
- Skin care routine
- Floss and brush teeth
- Review the next day’s activities in my planner
- Read 10 pages
- Say prayers
Now that these steps have become pretty good routines I want to add a couple of things in. First, I will be doing the Bible Study, Authentic Living by Candace Cameron Bure for the month of February. I am excited to add this into my routine for the next month.
Also, I would like to start working out but I haven’t yet decided whether to do that in the mornings or in the evenings. Please let me know in the comments below if you have a suggestion for the better time. Thanks a bunch!
What routines do you follow? Any I should incorporate into mine? I’d love to know yours.
