I have a few favorite things from January to share with you today. These are items that either made my life easier or things that I’ve really come to love this month. Here is my list of January faves:

Imperfect Foods – Imperfect Foods was founded in 2015 with a mission to eliminate food waste and build a better food system for everyone. They offer imperfect (yet delicious) produce, affordable pantry items, and quality eggs, dairy, proteins, and more and deliver them right to my door. This saves me so much time, while also helping me do my part to fight against food waste. The foods are perfectly good, fresh food; they just may be too big or in different packaging than new packaging, etc. I am really loving this service. Do you use Imperfect Foods as well? If you’d like to try it I have a code for $20 off your first box. Comment below and I will send it to you.

My new tumbler – My daughter-in-law made me a great new tumbler that says Travel Agent Brenda (and a cute phrase on the other side that refers to how hard I work). It is pink and silver glitter and I absolutely love it. I find that I drink more water when I have a cute cup to carry around so it’s really helped me with my daily water consumption goals.

Make up travel suitcase – I bought a new make up travel suitcase before our trip in December and I really love it. It has compartments that are removable so I can set up the sections as I need them. It slips right over my extended suitcase handle too, which makes it easy to take with me when I travel. Plus, it has amazing reviews. It is one of the best purchases I’ve made.
Sara Marie budget stickers for my budget planner – You likely know why I call my website Brenda Plans. I plan everything. I plan my days, my meals, my budget, my guests’ trips, and everything else under the sun. My budget book is my lifeline for keeping us on track, especially during Covid when more than half of my income was stripped from me last year alone. Sara Marie Stickers on Etsy has perfect budget stickers for my planner and I use these every month. I am really loving them!
Reading – Getting back into the habit of reading regularly is one of my major goals for the year. My first book for 2021 was The Ancient Nine by Dr. Ian Smith. It was a great book. Now I am onto The Light in Hidden Places by Sharon Cameron. I am only about 15 pages in but it has already secured my attention.

Podcasting – I’ve had the honor of being a special guest on the podcast “On the Road with Mickey” for the past two weeks and will again join Mike and Sophie on the podcast this week. We have been discussing Disney Legends and have been concentrating this time on Walt’s Nine Old Men. I have been loving the whole experience – from researching to participating in the discussion. I hope to do this more in the coming months.
That’s it for my January favorites. What brought you joy or made your life better or easier this month? I’d love to know so please leave me a comment and share your favorites too.
