I love all four parks at Walt Disney World. Each park has special areas inside which have their own specific feel. Some parks call them lands, some neighborhoods, etc. but all the parks have different areas within them that have their own special feel. Here, guests can hang out, people-watch, enjoy some favorite rides or special treats. Today I’m sharing my favorite areas at all four of the Disney parks. Since all have their own special attributes and charm, it is hard to rank them to a number one slot but I am doing my best.
Magic Kingdom
We’ll start first with the Magic Kingdom. This park has 7 lands: Main Street U.S.A., Fantasyland, Frontierland, Adventureland, Liberty Square and Tomorrowland. My favorite is Liberty Square. Being the Disney foodie I am, I will start with the delicious food found in this area. Liberty Square houses Columbia Harbour House which is my tavorite Quick-Service location at MK. Liberty Tree Tavern is also here. If you have been following me for a while you know that I refer to this restaurant as the most consistently-excellent table-service anywhere ar Magic Kingdom if not even beyond. And we cannot forget our most delicious Nutella Waffle from Sleepy Hollow which is also in this area.
Aside from delicious table-service, quick-service and snack options, Liberty Square is also home to the wildly popular ride, Haunted Mansion. This is a family favorite!
Another great attribute of Liberty Square is that it’s right on the parade/cavalcade route so we grab a spot by the Liberty Bell to enjoy these experiences. Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe is right near there so we usually visit that store before grabbing our viewing spot.
These are several of the many reasons why Liberty Square stands out for me at the Magic Kingdom.
EPCOT
EPCOT has 4 neighborhoods including: World Celebration, World Discovery, World Nature and World Showcase. Within World Showcase, there are 11 countries represented: Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, United States, Japan, Morocco, France, the United Kingdom, and Canada. My favorite area to hang out in EPCOT is one of these countries, France.
As usual, food and drink are two important reasons why France is my favorite. These include delicious pastries and crepes. There is also a new restaurant La Crêperie de Paris which serves specialty crepes! There are both quick-service and table-service options here with slightly different menus. Another wonderful find in France is the wonderful Chocolate Martini that can be enjoyed during the Food & Wine Festival.
The newest addition is the new ride, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. This attraction is cute and is wonderful for kids. Plus, Ratatouille is one of my all-time favorite Disney movies and I love how the whole area looks with the addition of the facade to Gusteau’s Restaurant.
Since we often stay at Boardwalk resorts, we usually enter EPCOT through the International Gateway. We prefer this entry method and it is right by France. This is especially convenient for us when leaving after Harmonious when we are tired and want to get back to the resort quickly.
My biggest reason that I love France is people-watching. You can see and hear so much and I love interacting with other Disney guests. It adds so much joy to my trip.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is split into 7 main areas: Hollywood Boulevard, Echo Lake, Grand Avenue, Animation Courtyard, Toy Story Land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Sunset Boulevard. They are all awesome in their own ways but of them my favorite is Sunset Boulevard.
Straight into foodie reasons is my two favorite snacks at Walt Disney World: the Carrot Cake Cookie and Butterfinger Cupcake. Both of these treats just happen to be found at the same location, Trolley Car Cafe. And, even though Trolley Car Cafe is on Grand Avenue, their seating area in back is on Sunset Boulevard. This is where I enjoy heavenly snacks while I people-watch.
We especially love watching the comedic street shows starring the Citizens of Hollywood. These audience-participation shows are so much fun and a great way to spend some down time on Sunset Boulevard.
Also on Sunset Boulevard is my favorite ride of all-time, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. It is SO AWESOME! Another great ride, right next to it, is Rock N Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith.
Beacons of Magic projects onto the Tower of Terror in the evenings. This is a special show celebrating the 50th Anniversary this year. It is beautiful. Fantasmic! should also return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios soon and the amphitheater is on Sunset Boulevard. I can’t wait for its return!!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park is occupied by 6 lands. These are: The Oasis, Discovery Island, DinoLand U.S.A., Africa, Asia, and Pandora: The World of Avatar. There are so many great spots at this park as it is naturally gorgeous and calming to me. Having to choose only one, I chose Pandora: The World of Avatar. This is greatly due to its nightly beauty as it is breathtaking at night with the bioluminescence all around the area. It is something to behold. If you don’t want to stay all day from opening to closing, head to the park in the afternoon and stay until the sun goes down to enjoy this. You won’t be sorry.
Other reasons I chose Pandora: The World of Avatar include my favorite ride at this park, Avatar Flight of Passage. This ride is the closest thing I have ever seen to my opinion of what heaven must look like. Totally beautiful! I also like the Na’Vi River Journey.
The food at Satu’li Canteen is the most unique of any quick-service at Walt Disney World in my opinion. It is very tasty and there is a large number of tables and chairs to fit large crowds. That makes this a great spot to dine, especially for lunch.
While in Pandora, you may get a look at the Mechanical AMP Suit Character that walks around in a huge contraption. It is pretty cool to see so keep your eyes peeled.
I hope you have enjoyed a look at my favorite lands. I would love to know what you consider your favorite areas of each park. Please share yours in the comments below and thanks for reading.
